sold his Argyle property 11 Nov 1764.
          “Archibald McCore commonly called by the name of Archibald Brown of Catkeat, Orange County, New York conveyed to John McKesson of the city of New York for 50 pounds his 300 acres of town and farm lot #85. It was acknowledged in New York on 23 Oct 1765 by subscribing witness, Daniel Gillispee. Witnesses were Daniel Gillispee and William Scott. Deed recorded 6 Sept 1792.”
     – This Archibald Brown was married to McNaughton’s daughter Janet. She died 1770.
     –Archibald Brown on 1790 census - Washington Co - 1m, 1f over 16 - this is not our Archibald.

An unconfirmed statement says Catherine changed her name to McNeil.
According to Una, who is quoting another researcher, "In the Gilchrist Archives is to be found the note that ARchibald and Catharine came with their Uncle Brown."

leaves land in Argyle Patent to sons Neal & Daniel and daughter Catherine wife of William Goodson
