She (Margaret) was born in Kentucky (don't know County) on 13 Oct 1816. Since your Samuel was born in 1820, thought they may be siblings. Margaret married John Flanigan in Bartholomew Co., IN on 3 Dec 1840 where they raised farmed and raised a family. She died 19 Mar 1853. From the obituary on John Flanigan, I presume Margaret was living in Bartholmew Co., IN when they met. It states he left his family in PA in 1838 to visit friends in Barth. Co, then later returned and married Margaret.

Samuel CONNER born about 1820 in Kentucky; married December 1839 to Elizabeth DEER, also of Kentucky, in Montgomery Co., IN; died November 1863, in the war, at Union City, TN.
Children include Susan, b. 1841, Sugar Creek Twp., Parke, IN (my ancestress). Other children
were Arthur, 1843, Nancy, 1845, and Allen, 1848.

"Caleb Conner... was born in Kentucky, and throughout much of his life was employed as a
millwright and blacksmith. He was a pioneer of Montgomery Co., IN, where he entered some
Government land and improved a good farm. He was a prominent member of the Masonic order.
His religious views were in sympathy with the doctrine fo the Baptist Church, of which he was a
member. Politically he was first a Whig, and later a Republican, and served his fellow citizens in the office of Justice of the Peace, as well as in other places of trust. He married Miss Susannah Teeter, who was of Scotch-Irish descent, and they became the parents of seven sons and three daughters."

He married Rebekah Smith on 13 Feb 1806, whose birthdate is unknown, but died 14 Dec 1847, also in Shelby County, Indiana. They were the parents of: Sarah, Christian, James, Margaret Ann, Mary Ann, William, Nancy, Lucy, Daniel, Rebeca, George, Elizabeth, Eli, and Marthey. Sons George and Eli ended up in Cumberland County, Illinois, but it is unknown where the rest of the family went.
