Ok, this is not quite ready for prime time.
My original idea was to give a brief outline of the state's history,
then a brief summary of our people who passed through.
That's a bit more ambitious than I think I can do at this point.
What I do have is a list of the counties, with the dates of formation, and with links to online free census transcriptions when I know of them.
And also a couple of links to some wonderful state databases.
Indiana State Library - Genealogy Division - Indiana Marriages Through 1850
And a link to the Indiana GenWeb Project
And some neat map links (I love maps)

Our people who were in Indiana:
Dad's side:
Arnold (La Porte county - arrived mid-1840s? from Virginia? - moved on to Iowa)
No one else I know of, but I did do some look-ups of Bothwells in Indiana (only a very few)
Mom's side:
Stanton (Warrick county - arrived ~1847 from Ireland; stayed in place until Grandma moved up to DEE-troit)
census info, marriages etc on Stantons-in-general in Indiana
other Warrick county people, connected with the Stantons but not directly related to us: Baker, McCool
Conner (Spencer, Perry, Warrick counties - arrived early 1800s? from Virginia via Kentucky?; pretty much stayed in place)
census info, marriages, random info on Conners-in-general in Indiana (mostly Perry and Spencer)
Darr (Warrick, Vandenburgh counties - Jonathan arrived mid-1880s from Illinois; ended up back in Illinois)
Deweese (Warrick county - arrived late 1850s from Kentucky; pretty much stayed in place)
census info, marriages on Deweeses-in-general in Indiana
Hudson (Warrick county - arrived before 1830 from Kentucky. I think these Hudsons are related to us, but the link is not documented.)
other Warrick county people connected with the Hudsons, but not directly related to us: Perigo, Shrode
Hull (Warrick county - arrived ~1842 from Kentucky; most stayed in place, ours moved on to Illinois.)
Lusk (Warrick county - arrived ~1842 from Virginia via Kentucky; moved on to Illinois, then back to Indiana.)
census info, marriages for Lusks-in-general in Indiana
Sams - our people didn't actually move to Indiana, but I did collect some Indiana marriages.
