Sons of William II "in Carolina" in 1771, at time of will = John & William - and they
are not in SC in 1790.
I suspect Joseph, who ended up in TN, is their brother & joined them later for a
while
Also, Jacob & William Luster moved from Augusta to NC in 1787 - before taxes
were collected

Joseph disappears from NC census after 1800 (assuming 1810 Haywood is not him) but
doesn't appear in TN census until 1830 (and I think it is his son, Joseph jr, who appears
then) - he supposedly moved there abt 1819 - and there is a Joseph on the tax rolls of
Bledsoe County in 1815.

Samuel Lusk mentioned in A History of Watauga County, North Carolina by John
Preston Arthur. He was a stone mason and a member of the Valle Crucis Lutheran
Church (1842).
"He came from Lincoln County to the Castle Settlement a few miles above what is
now called Todd, but afterwards moved to Dutch Creek, near Valle Crucis, where he
died, leaving a family of highly respected children." - p. 255
