Jonah Stanton, born 14 Feb 1885, is the brother whose name we were most familiar with. He was a miner, like Grandpa Rufus. He lived in Boonville all his life (as far as I can tell).
Mother Mary Polly died in 1897, when Jonah was 13. He was living with his father and three siblings in 1900:

In 1901, father Michael went to the Marion Soldiers' Home - he was there for about 18 months. I don't know what happened to the children. Jonah might have been considered old enough to take care of himself.
In 1907 he married Clara Shoulders. The marriage isn't listed in the marriage books, but there is this:

Jonah and Clara had 3 children:
Charles F b. 1919 Oct 8 - he became a preacher
Maggie Jewel, known as Madge, b.1909 Jan 30 - she married John Elzer in 1927).
Mike, born and died 1924.

Jonah lived all his life in Warrick County. He mostly worked as a coal miner.

Jonah died in 1964 and is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Boonville.
